Kenpo Karate is a self-defense system that teaches discipline and self-control through three primary methods: self-defense techniques, forms, and sparring. Self-defense techniques help Kenpo students develop their skills by allowing them to practice with different threatening situations and experiment with what-if scenarios. We want our students to keep an open mind, and have fun throughout their experience at Side Kick Karate School.
Be a part of the ELITE TEAM. Once a year we give the opportunity to students to be a part of the SIDEKICK ELITE TEAM. There is only 10 spots available and the members of the team get sponsored to go to tournaments outside of Texas like; Florida, California, Minnesota, Nevada, Guatemala, Mexico, etc. Everyone can compete regardless if they made it into the ELITE TEAM.

WEAPONS PROGRAM
Training weapons are traditionally used in the practice and training of various martial arts. Practicing with a training weapon can help a martial artist focus and develop his or her skills. The weapons program is a stand alone system that can be incorporated into your current training.

Sidekick Karate School plays a huge part in educating the minds of the Permian Basin. Our Karate School believes in the principles of dialog and active participation to foster education and expression. We want all of our students to develop their skill set, and push themselves to reach their potential and exceed their expectations. Our focus is to teach kids Discipline, Honesty, Control, Responsibility and Attitude while developing self-defense skills.
